In my monthly ebay browsing for SEGA Saturn goodies, I came across this ebay seller who has WAY too many copies of Panzer Dragoon Saga on his hands. I was actually quite pissed off to see how many he had. Of course, he's selling them now, but imagine how many years these sat unplayed. No great game deserves to sit on a shelf with seven identical copies of itself. Game hoarding at its worst.
Still, if you have $200+ to spare, here are multiple chances to buy a copy of the game.

Haha I thought the exact same thing too. But 250+ for a copy thats just highway robbery.
ReplyDeleteAlso I love this blog by the way. Its hard finding other people that love the sega saturn as well.
ReplyDeleteThis is proper asshole collector mentality. Hoarding copies to get them out of circulation, just to boost the value of them. THEY SHOULD BE PLAAAAAYED.
ReplyDeleteBy me
And me.
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, I sure as hell ain't paying 250+. The price was bad enough at 200.
For what it's worth, the dude doesn't really understand how to maximize his profit. He should be listing each of these one-by-one over several months, never letting on as to how many he actually has.
ReplyDeleteWhen the hell is Sega going to put Saturn-era classics on download services (PSN, XBLA, Steam)?
ReplyDeleteSaga should be available to all for around $10, along with numerous other gems.
Just find a rom and download the game, burn to disc and play on a saturn using the swap trick. The american packaging isn't even worth the money for this game.
ReplyDeleteYou know why this bothers me? My copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga (and nearly 50 other games including SFIII, Burning Rangers, and most of the other rare titles) was nearly destroyed by a house fire.
ReplyDeleteThey ultimately survived, but the cases are half-melted, covered in soot, and the artwork is all water-logged. I'm glad they technically survived, but I'd love to replace them with clean copies and people like this make that impossible.
I guess I should be happy they still play, but I was really proud of the collection I had (and played).
