OBEY

Yes. This is a 150 cm tall cardboard standee of 0ur master Segata Sanshiro. Please do not ask what I had to pay for it, because it was quite much. But money is nothing when it comes to Segata Sanshiro. If he calls, I'll pay. No matter how much.

I have nothing more to say.

More Merchandise!

Sega Saturn Trophy!

Sega Saturn Merchandise Weirdness!

Holy fucking cow. I was finally able to buy the Segata Sanshiro action figure for a decent price. It's approximately 30 cm in height (That's 11.8110236 inch for the americans!) and looks really great. His wig is incredibly detailed, very well styled and he's wearing an actual judo suit. I didn't want to open the very cool box, though, so I was not able to pose some fighting stances or place him against a Godzilla doll.

But that's not all. This Segata Sanshiro action figure actually came with an inflatable bop bag! The ones that stand up again everytime you punch them. Why anyone would want to hit Segata Sanshiro is beyond me, but other than that, this bop bag is to the point: Segata would always stand up again!

Since I only need to eat once a day and avoid buying birthday presents for friends, I can save that money up and spend it on things like... this incredible Body Special 264 Puzzle, which I bought as well. It's some sort of a can with a very nice Sega Saturn print (and cutesy japanese girls) on it and it comes with 108 pieces. I am bit worried about that "Panel No. 1" note on the can, because I assume, that there are even more of those puzzles out there? Fuck! I want them all. :(

More Segata Sanshiro Merchandise

Woo yay.

Bought another batch of Sega Saturn merchandise. Most of it has to do with our great king Segata Sanshiro. First of all, though, I want to introduce you to this weird Sega Saturn branded... thing. I actually don't know what it is, or what it does. I assume you can store... things in it. Maybe CDs? It's very soft and has a little strap to carry it around with you. Very weird, yet interesting.

Then there's this great Segata Sanshiro... plush puppet. It's approximately 30 cm tall and very soft, so you can cuddle it as much as you want. On the back he carries a Sega Saturn, because I guess he's currently on training. There's this nice detail actually on that little cardboard label: This puppet came in varations. There are two with a half smiling mouth and 3 others with an angry (!) mouth. Also his arm positions seem different from puppet to puppet. Of course I need them all now.

With the puppet came this really cool and tiny Segata Sanshiro cell phone strap. You can put it on your cell phone and when doing so, you are most probably the coolest person in your country. It's very detailed, very nice painted and Segata Sanshiro looks really angry. Last but not least there's this incredible Segata Sanshiro t-shirt. This one actually got quite expensive (around 35 EUR), but it's totally worth it. It came with the original factory sealed plastic bag and features one big and many small Segata Sanshiros on the front accompanied by the Segata Sanshiro title. Who wouldn't love to wear that every day?

Sega Saturn Posters

Remember when I told you in this post about how cool the Shopping Mall Japan is? With the Shopping Mall Japan I was able to bid on a bunch of very nice looking Sega Saturn posters, which will soon hang in my dedicated Sega Saturn room. Oh wait, my girlfriend will probably kill me, if I really use one room for Sega Saturn related stuff only. Anyways. I especially like the Willy Wombat poster, because it looks so heroic and cute at the same time. Also notice the quality of the posters. They are in perfect condition, just like nearly everything you buy from Japan. The Virtua Fighter 2 Poster was the cheapest for some odd reason, so I bought it twice and he even has a third one on Yahoo. Maybe I'll buy that as well, just to be sure...

The Incredibly Cute Saturn Soft Case

On my countless forays into the depths of the ebay Sega Saturn auctions, I spotted this sweet little... thing. At first I thought it's a boxed white Saturn, but the auction description lured me with the words "Soft Case". I dug further and found out, that this little fella is indeed a "Soft Case", whereas Sega probably meant "Software" and not the physical condition of the item. So, you can literally put software in it, which should be preferably Sega Saturn CDs, of course, and the case will protect it. You can choose to either put 4 CDs with jewel cases in it, or use the book like thing to put in even more CDs. 10 to be exact. What's a bit weird about that thing is, that you can also put the manuals in it. The back of the box also suggests, that you may carry your Sega Saturn joypad in it, which I haven't tested though.

The appearance of this thing is really cute for some odd reason. It nearly looks like an original white Sega Saturn, but it's different enough to be overly cute. I immediately fell in love with it and thus didn't care, that I had to pay approximately 60 USD for this thing. It's either rare or very sought after. The original price tag, when this thing was released, was around 14 USD (Yen 1,480). Talk about valorisation!
