Yes. This article says that the Saturn was the worst major console of all time...

"Don Reisinger is a technology columnist who has written about everything from HDTVs to computers to Flowbee Haircut Systems. Don is a member of the CNET Blog Network and posts at The Digital Home. He is not an employee of CNET"
I can't even BEGIN on how wrong and badly researched this article was. It is striaght up 2.0 shoddy journalism. Donny boy must have gotten all his info off wikipedia and then wrote the story around the title. I am pretty sure he never even owned a system.
Fear not loyal Saturn lovers. Others who have calmer heads than I have already taken on the task of correcting this wrong.
People have posted VERY long comments pointing out the errors in this article as well as listing the many worthy games released on the system.
There are a few choices ones to read.
"So please Mr. Reisinger, do the world a favor and quit writing articles until:
A. You learn to research your subjects.
or
B. You become a competent individual. "
"How exciting. Maybe he should do an article showcasing the good games for the 3DO and Atari Jaguar"
And of course this is the same guy who claimed the SNES is the greated console of all time and didn't even mention the Dreamcast. He ONLY mentioned the Playstation because a "handful of Sony fanboys will cry foul" if he didn't. And his second place trophy goes to the NES... Wow.... My Nintendo fanboy sense is tingling.
The Saturn has alot of fans on the web Mr. Reisinger. Please do some actual research before you do your next "tech" article.

I can't help but think that Bernie would be proud of this article.

I like Don Reisinger when he's on the TWIT podcast talking about tech stuff, but every time he talks about gaming stuff (even his obsession with bringing the Dreamcast back), he always seems like he's clueless.
I guess he's just speaking out of his limited experience (I'm not assuming he is involved in the systems as we are), but he goes out on a limb far too often without having much to back it up.
Boah fuck. I had no chance to read the article yet, but I'll do so once I am at home. Maybe I have to add a person to my "to kill list".
Racketboy this is the major problem with pure techies.
They get caught up in numbers and technical details that they miss reality by a mile.
Since this guy reads up on a few articles and knows the short history of the Saturn in North America he thinks he can call it the worst????
As for his Dreamcast obession, I had no clue.
HE DIDN'T MENTION the Dreamcast in the blog about "The greatest console ever".
So yeah, how big of a Dreamcast fan can he be?
Besides there is NOT ONE positive comment on this article.
What an ass... Fortunately there are a lot of Saturn fans there who patiently showed him just how wrong he was.
I am personally amazed how many people listed their 30+ favorite Saturn games in response to this article...
Sanshiro should have a friendly face to fist talk with that guy.
Actually I first read (and hated and promptly forgot) the best console article and only now -thanks to you dear Caleb- noticed this guys latest abomination. Dear, dear, dear. It's like the writings of a rather uneducated 15 year old.
The words best and worse are so mistreated they might just need counseling. He fails to define any criteria. Constantly fail to actually explain why he believes what he believes and keeps mixing up quality with success. Pathetic.
I'm not going to mince my words here, I'll tell it like it is...
WHAT A STUPID FUCKING CUNT! this really pisses me off. how can an arsehole like that command column inches, WHAT A VAPID STUPID TWAT!
You don't have to like the Saturn, you can prefer the PS1 I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THAT!
But to confuse poor marketing with the product that is being sold just smacks of BEING A PRICK! (See ladies, I also reference male genitalia in a derogatory way when referencing this dumb FUCK!)
God this makes my blood boil!
*FK drops to knees, and intones mystic words in Ancient Japanese, summoning the evil side of Segata's chi energy... A Segata Sanshiro dirge resonates through Mount Fuji then... BAM! All Saturn doubters are levelled by the Buddha Palm!*
Sorry I don't know what came over me...
Great post Caleb!!
Thirty Saturn games worth playing? Well, let's take a look at the system's American library...
NORTH AMERICA
NightWarriors: Darkstalkers Revenge
Marvel Super Heroes
Virtua Fighter 2
Fighter's Megamix
WipeOut
Earthworm Jim 2
NiGHTS Into Dreams
Christmas NiGHTS
Decathlete
Winter Heat
Street Fighter Alpha 2
Street Fighter Collection
Mass Destruction
Soviet Strike
Mega Man X4
Panzer Dragoon Zwei
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Sonic Jam
Sega Rally Championship
Williams Arcade's Greatest Hits 1
Williams Arcade's Greatest Hits 2
Sega Ages
Tempest 2000
Bust-A-Move 2
Mega Man 8
Die Hard Arcade
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Powerslave
Guardian Heroes
Saturn Bomberman
That's thirty games right there. Twenty two of them were right off the top of my head, with the remainder plucked from my personal collection and a list of Saturn titles on Wikipedia. You could even make an argument for games like Shining Force 3 and Dragon Force, which I personally didn't like, but many others did.
So yeah, this article is bunk. It's not just because it's poorly written and uses an arbitrary system for deciding which consoles were eligible for the award. It's because the author intentionally turns a blind eye to the high-quality games available for the Saturn.
I could probably triple the size of the list if I were to include games from Japan, the Saturn's stink-free zone. However, there's really no need, as the article has already been proven incredibly biased and critically flawed. The author was so determined to bash the Saturn that he might as well have named his feature "The Worst Game System Ever Named After A Planet In Our Solar System."
May I just add "Casper" the game of the movie to that hallowed list...
and "Pandemonium" they're both great games... And "Athlete Kings"... I could go on forever...
LOL! ;)
LMAO at the first picture!
