Sega Saturn Merchandise Weirdness!

Holy fucking cow. I was finally able to buy the Segata Sanshiro action figure for a decent price. It's approximately 30 cm in height (That's 11.8110236 inch for the americans!) and looks really great. His wig is incredibly detailed, very well styled and he's wearing an actual judo suit. I didn't want to open the very cool box, though, so I was not able to pose some fighting stances or place him against a Godzilla doll.

But that's not all. This Segata Sanshiro action figure actually came with an inflatable bop bag! The ones that stand up again everytime you punch them. Why anyone would want to hit Segata Sanshiro is beyond me, but other than that, this bop bag is to the point: Segata would always stand up again!

Since I only need to eat once a day and avoid buying birthday presents for friends, I can save that money up and spend it on things like... this incredible Body Special 264 Puzzle, which I bought as well. It's some sort of a can with a very nice Sega Saturn print (and cutesy japanese girls) on it and it comes with 108 pieces. I am bit worried about that "Panel No. 1" note on the can, because I assume, that there are even more of those puzzles out there? Fuck! I want them all. :(

More Sega Saturn... Stuff

So I was buying random Stuff on Yahoo Auctions again. This time, a very very cool... uhm... Sega Saturn... tablet(?). Honestly, I don't know what it is. But it has the famous Sega Saturn claim "This Is Cool" on it, so I better believe it. Maybe Sega executives sniffed their coke on this tablet, who knows. It's very heavy and apart from the Sega Logo and the "This Is Cool" slogan free of any hints what it might have been and where it could have come from.

This Virtua Cop poster was bought on Yahoo Auctions as well and it was actually ridiculous cheap. Only 1.200 Yen, which is about 14 USD these days. Well ok, you have to count the Shopping Mall Japan fees to it. Anyway, I never actually saw something like this in Germany, so I am quite happy to be able to buy it from Japan.

I have already won the next weird Saturn stuff and will post about it, once I received it. Stay tuned.

The Sega Saturn Backpack

Finally I was able to buy one of these great Sega Saturn backpacks. They were released by Sega to... well... only god knows why. But as a Sega Saturn fan I really appreciate that and thank Sega for releasing something that cool. Whereas other console branded backpacks only have logos on them, the Sega Saturn backpack actually looks like a Sega Saturn with all its details. It even comes with a Joypad pouch! You have 2 external pockets. One under the CD lid and the other in the Saturn's memory card slot. Other than that, the main pocket is big enough for a Sega Saturn and other crap as well. It only costs around 47 Pound Sterling (7,140 Yen) and should be in the possession of every Saturn fanatic.

On a little sidenote: Also check out this incredibly cool Mega Drive tote! That's the birthday present for your girlfriends.
